Sterilized contents remain safe for 24 hours with the lid properly closed, so there's no need to wait for the bottles to dry before using them. Regarding descaling, the frequency depends on your water's hardness. In hard water areas, descale every 14 days, in medium areas every 21 days, and in soft water areas, about every 28 days. You can use a suitable stainless steel descaler or white vinegar, although vinegar may require more frequent use. Check your water quality with your water provider.
